The Treasury team is built on trust, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking to build a best-in-class treasury team that will not only safeguard Seagate’s cash but provide the necessary treasury services to the rest of the company by:

  • Providing access to Seagate finance teams with the necessary treasury tools
  • Collaborating with other Treasury teams and external finance teams with regards to Treasury functions
  • Continuous improvement on processes and procedures to adapt to changing environments.
  • Dealing with sensitive information with upmost care

This role will manage all aspects of cash management for the Asia-Pacific region to support the business needs and working capital management.

About the role - you will:

  • Manage Seagate’s Asia-Pacific cash management and banking operations.
  • Assist in identifying and managing foreign currency exposures, including the execution of hedging programs.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, FBAR, internal controls, and policies and procedures in day-to-day treasury operations.
  • Manage relationships and reporting requirements with banking partners for receivables, inventory, and other vendor/supplier financing programs.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining company’s banking infrastructure, including banking relationships.
  • Understand and manage appropriate procedures and processes around month-end and quarter-close activity.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts within the business to develop Treasury specific projects or assist with operational needs.
  • Assist in system administration functions within all banking and treasury related systems.
  • Train treasury staff on developmental goals in support Treasury management.

About you:

  • Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through college-level education, bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
  • Positive, proactive individual with excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks with limited direction and within limited time schedules.
  • Ability to identify and set priorities, spends his/her time and the time of others on what is important; eliminates roadblocks; creates focus.
  • Passionate about professional and team development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to explain finance & treasury concepts in writing and verbally to different teams.

Your experience includes:

  • Prior corporate treasury experience required.
  • Previous management experience (direct or indirect).
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience.
  • Experience with treasury and ERP systems (e.g., Integrity, Oracle, SAP).
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of finance and accounting concepts.

The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center.
